  1. Prepare 1/2 kg sela rice
  2. Take 1/2 kg sugar
  3. Get 250 g khoya
  4. Make ready 100 g asharfiyan
  5. Get 50 g coconut
  6. Get 50 g almond
  7. Make ready 1 tsp orange food colour
  8. Get 3-4 cardamom
  9. Get 100 g ghee

Instructions to make Khoya zarda:
  1. Soak the rice for about 2 hours
  2. Boil them completeltly into coloured water
  3. Strain it and set a side
  4. Now heat ghee add cardamom and add 1 cup water and sugar
  5. When sugar is desolve add rice
  6. Cook it on low flame in this stage sugar releases water so do not disturb just low the flame and cook
  7. Add cocunut and almond and some amount of khoya and cover the pan and give it dum
  8. After 10 minutes zarda is ready decorate it with asharfi and khoya
