- Get 1 cup chanaa dal
- Make ready 1/2 cup rice powder
- Take 1 cup Mozzarella cheese
- Prepare Butter
- Prepare Oregano (dried) and basil (dried) powder
- Get Chilli flakes
- Prepare 1/2 cup Lauki chopped in small size
- Make ready 1/2 cup Carrot and green capsicum chopped in small size
- Take Tomato chopped in medium size
- Get Onion sliced length wise
- Get Chopped and fried garlic (home made)
Instructions to make Healthy juniors…. Lauki Uttapam Pizza:
- Soak chanaa dal for 1hr after in water. Grind and mix rice powder to it to make a batter like that of dosa or idli and keep overnight after adding salt and a pinch of sugar.
- In a kadai add some butter, heat lightly and mix chopped lauki, onion and 1/2 tsp fried garlic. Saute for 5 to 6 minutes in medium heat without lid. Switch off the flame and keep aside.
- Take a nonstick fry pan, put some butter and grease evenly. Flame should be low. Take batter and make a medium thick dosa like pizza base.
- Now put the oregano evenly all over the base…then chilli flakes..and then grated mozzarella cheese.
- Cover with a lid and cook the base in low flame for 2minutes. Now add chopped small pieces of carrot, then lauki with onion, green capsicum, and lastly chopped tomato in medium size.
- Sprinkle oregano and basil 1/2 tsp each…grated mozzarella cheese spreading all over the pizza. Then add 1 tsp of extra virgin olive oil or melted butter evenly all over the pizza and lightly press with a spatula.
