- To make the dough: Mix well all the ingredients to make the dough. Rub the flour well in between your palms for 2-3 minutes to incorporate the oil or ghee well with the flour. Now, add little water and knead well to make a soft dough(not too soft) keep it covered with a cloth for 15 minutes. I have used 1/2 cup water approximately for kneading. - Divide into 8 equal size balls.
- Mix all the ingredients to make the fillings to make a dough. Start filling this mix into the dough balls one by one.
- Heat a appam pan. Apply ghee on the stand with brush to make it non sticky. Keep the stuffed littis in the stand and cook covered for 1st 3-4 minutes in low flame. Then flip over in some interval and cook applying ghee on medium flame uncovered. Turn off the flame when littis are roasted completely from all sides. Serve hot with chokha and red chillies.
