  3. Get Dry spices- 1/2 teaspoon - haldi powder, 2 tablespoon- Dhaniya powder, 1.5 tbsp- salt, 1 tablespoon- Red Chilli powder, 1.5 tablespoon- Kashmiri Red Chilli powder, 1 tsp roasted cumin seeds powder
  4. Take For Gravy- 3 medium sized onions, 8-10 garlic, 1 tablespoon ginger, 2 greeen chillies, 3 medium sized tomatoes and 5 tbsp refined oil, 1 teaspoon garam masala, 1 teaspoon kasuri methi
Steps to make Soya Chaap Gravy #maincourse #foodseekers:
  1. Gently remove soya chaap from the sticks. Cut them into big chunks. Heat oil in a pan to deep fry the soya Chaap pieces. Fry it on low to medium flame till you see the layers / light brown in colour.
  2. Marinate Soya Chaap pieces by adding butter, curd and chaat masala, mix it well, cover it and leave to sit for 15-20 mnts
  3. Chop the onions then fry it in the same oil on medium flame till brown in colour. Grind it in a mixture and keep it aside. Grind tomatoes, garlic and ginger and keep it aside.
  4. Heat 5 tbsp refined oil in a pan, add whole spices. Saute it for a mnt then add tomatoes paste and salt and fry it for 3-4 mnts on medium flame then add all the dry spices, mix it well.
  5. Add onions paste and fry it till it starts leaving the sides of the Pan. Stir at regular intervals.
  6. Then add soya Chaap pieces and add half cup of water and stir it well, cover it and cook on low flame for 2-3 mnts, add 1.5 cup of water and cook it for 5-7 mnts then add garam masala and kasuri methi. Mix the Gravy and cook it for another 2 mnts. To reduce the thickness of Gravy, you can add more water.
  7. Heat 1 tablespoon oil and add 1 dry Red chilli and half tablespoon of kashmiri Red chilli Powder for better color.
  8. Garnish it with fresh coriander leaves and serve the Soya Chaap curry.
